So.. Seeing as it’s now the holidays, I’ve decided to be a better modern languages student and start a blog for my Year Abroad. Everything’s pretty good – I've enjoyed my three weeks of work and now I have two weeks holiday! And in some ways not much has changed – I've already been banned from the library for a week, my room is a mess, and I don’t get enough sleep…

The first day of my holidays was lovely. I stayed in bed till gone 12, had 2 amazing skype chats. Then after a long walk in the freezing cold / sun with another Rachel, we found an amazing patisserie... :D

I found a room chez l’habitant in the Vieux Tours – it has wooden beams which makes me incredibly happy :) I live with another student and my house-mum who’s a grandma but who looks about 45 and goes to zumba classes with me!

Oooh and I couldn’t decide what to call this blog, so I chose Rachel anglaise, because when I buzz the door at school, I hear lots of little french voices shouting “C’est Rachel anglaise!” The kids are so cute, I love school! One slight problem is that all the instructions on this thing are in French and I have no idea how blogging works.. : /
